To Be or Not To Be

To be or not to be
A question with so many answers
Can be a yes or no, maybe and somehow
Once you've chosen, you can never go back

To be or not to be what would I be?
My fate is up to my decisions
Different decisions leading to conclusions
And some conclusions leading to frustrations

To be or not to be what is the conclusion?
Frustrations growing deeper
Thoughts running wider
But some are left unanswered.

Comedy + Errors = Comedy of Errors

This piece is one of the greatest masterpieces of William Shakespeare. It is about two twins who had been separated in the start of the play yet in the end, their destinies crossed. I got excited to know the story because from the title itself, it gave me goosebumps.

At the start, I was a little bit confused with the names of the twins. Why? Its because they have the same names. But, with the help of the reporters they explained it well to us. As they go on with the reporting or what I'll just say as citing the acts and scenes, I got really bored and sleepy because it seems to me that not all of them really knows the whole story. There had been interruptions because one of the reporters didn't cited it accurately.

What I can say for the reporters of this piece is they've done a good job and not their best. There were some  who really made their efforts but some didn't. There had been clarifications and questions about the story of Comedy of Errors. I can say that they had answered it well.

This piece can really give you a headache because of a lot of confusions between the twins. But as you read and analyze it further and deeper, you will understand it very well. William Shakespeare really deserves a round of applause for a job well done.

National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE)

The National Career Assessment Examination or NCAE in short is taken up by junior students/third year students once only. This examination will help them decide on what course will they take on college. This test is consist of different parts. Those are:The Reading Comprehension, Mathematical Ability, Verbal and Non-Verbal Ability, Scientific Ability, Manipulative Skills and the OIISSS. The second part of the test which is OIISSS helps you to know what kind of activity you like to do the most. For example is, helping the kids read and write and helping a chemist with the chemicals. This examination should be taken up seriously because it holds your future but its up to your decision if you will follow the result of this examination or not. For me, this examination is very easy. The course that I would like to take is Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) or Tourism. The reason why I chose that course is because I love socializing and interacting with people. But I hope that the result of the examination is also like that.

Intramurals 2012

Sport is all forms of competitive physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and provide entertainment to participants. Hundreds of sports exist, from those requiring only two participants, through to those with hundreds of simultaneous participants, either in teams or competing as individuals. Sport is generally recognized as activities which are based in physical athleticism or physical dexterity, with the largest major competitions such as the Olympic Games admitting only sports meeting this definition and other organisations such as the Council of Europe using definitions precluding activities without a physical element from classification as sports. However, a number of competitive, but non-physical, activities claim recognition as mind sports. The International Olympic Committee (through ARISF) recognises both chess and bridge as bona fide sports, and Sport Accord, the international sports federation association, recognizes five non-physical sports, although limits the amount of mind games which can be admitted as sports.

Sports are usually governed by a set of rules or customs, which serve to ensure fair competition, and allow consistent adjudication of the winner. Winning can be determined by physical events such as scoring goals or crossing a line first, or by the determination of judges who are scoring elements of the sporting performance, including objective or subjective measures such as technical performance or artistic impression.

Sports, it is a form of recreation where our body is exercised and at the same time, it is enjoyable to do. There are a lot of different sports that students like us can do. Some are badminton, table tennis, javelin throw, basketball and volleyball. Sports can help maintain our body’s fitness because it is also a form of exercise. It is very important to a student’s life because it helps develop our sportsmanship. It helps us accept the fact that there are times that you win or lose but whats important is you had fun. It is also important because it keeps our body healthy and strong through recreational activities. It also helps the student’s extra-curricular activities be active and have an enjoyable and not boring life. It also helps our brain to be healthy, develop and think well. That’s why I engage in sports so that my body stays fit and healthy.

The English Language and your Mother Tongue: Which is more important for you?

Language is important, because it helps millions of people communicate within this world of different dialect, cultures and within this world of business. It is a part of speech that is important and sometimes needed for one's survival. When you move to a different country or region, learning the local language will help you to communicate and fit in with the local community. Even if many of the locals speak your language, it's still worth your while learning the local language. Doing so will demonstrate your interest in and commitment to the new country. As globalization and mobility and communications are bringing the world ever closer together it's more urgent for global citizens to be competent in other language. Language is inseparably tied to culture. As we run up against each other more and more in the world today, individual and unique cultures suffer loss. To prevent this, it is important to preserve and protect the variety of languages still in existence, and to revive those that have already fallen away.
As what others say, English is the universal language so adults and also kids need to practice speaking in English. People around the world use the English language for communication purposes and for business. Is fluency in English important to people? Yes indeed. People need to be fluent in English so that they can communicate and understand each other well. Remember the Tower of Babel? The people can’t understand each other because they have different languages thats why the English language is very important. And at the same time, practicing the English speaking campaign can improve your grammar and vocabulary in English.
The mother tongue is the first language that everyone needs to master. If one has already mastered it, he can communicate easily and well with the local people. The mastery of our mother tongue is also very important to us. It is important because it is your first language that you need to know. How can one communicate very well with his local people if he doesn’t master it yet? So that’s why we need to master our mother tongue because it’s also for our own good.
For me the English language is more important than the mother tongue. Nowadays, we can communicate with people around the world and even the people in your local community with the English language because a lot of people know the English language already. Even if you haven’t mastered your mother tongue yet but you are fluent in English then, you can use the English language to communicate.

2nd Grading: Rivalry

It was a cold night in December when the incident happened. We were eating the parfait that mom made for us, Aunt Sue and Uncle Joe. Aunt Sue and my mom are consanguineous. We were all happy that time. Aunt Sue was teasing my brother and we were laughing so hard that we can’t even breathe. Aunt Sue can be a buffoon. The phone from the living room rang and father got up to check who called. “Hello this is Mr. Dalton speaking, how may I help you?”, father said. “You need to go your store! ASAP!”, the stranger said. “What?! Who is this? What happe—“, but before father was able to finish his sentence, the caller hang up. Father ran to the dining room and recited to us what happened. “I need to go there now!”, father said in a high tone. “I’ll go with you honey!”, mom said. I had a bad feeling about mom and dad going there on our store. They rushed to go in the garage and got inside the coupe. Dad started the engine and they were ready to go. “Sally wait! Please take care. It’s snowing very hard outside and its very dark maybe you should just go there tomorrow.”, Aunt Sue said. “We can’t coz that store means a lot to us. Sue, please take good care of Macy and baby Luke for me.”, mom said. “I will Sally.”, Aunt said. So they rushed outside the garage and drove all the way the dark streets. It was already past 12 midnight but mom and dad hasn’t returned yet. “Did they call already?”, I said. “Nope, not a single call.”, Uncle Joe said. I had a bad feeling that something bad will happen to mom and dad. I laid on the sofa and I didn’t notice that I fell fast asleep already. I had a dream about mom and dad. They were already a wraith. My nap was disturbed by the phone that was ringing so loud. So I got up and got the phone. “Hello, who is this?”, I said in a low tone. “This is Dr. Lorenzo speakin, is this the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton?’, he said. “Uhm, yes I am. What is it Doctor?”, “ Your mom and dad was found lying on the street. Their clothes were covered with blood and their car was found beside a tree. You need to go here on Saint Peter’s Hospital near Star Mall.”, he said. “Ok doctor!”, I was shocked with what he said, my brain can’t process it. It’s like I was punched on the face very hard. “Aunt Sue, Uncle Joe! We need to go to Saint Peter’s Hospital now coz mom and dad had an accident on the way to the store!”, I said. “They what?!”, Aunt Sue said. “We have not much time, let’s go there now. Bring baby Luke,” Uncle Joe said. So we went there as soon as possible but a bad news welcomed us. “Macy, I’m so sorry to say that your mom and dad didn’t make it. They are in the morgue upstairs,” the doctor said. “No! It’s not true!” I said angrily. I had an affray with the doctor. “Calm down Macy your frightening baby Luke,” Aunt said. We went to the morgue but I was the only one who didn’t go inside the room. I can’t see mom and dad like that. I felt a lot of emotions inside me. I was staring blankly on the chandelier while thinking of mom and dad. I was a taciturn that time. Then Aunt sat beside me, “Macy, let’s go home already. They will just deliver your mom and dad’s body. We need to fix the house and get dress before the guests arrive,” she said. “Aunt, please contact the police station, something tells me that it wasn’t an accident. I think someone did that on purpose.” I said. “If that’s what will make you happy, then I’ll call them.” She said. So we went home to fix the house. We took a shower and got dress. A lot of people went to our house. They are our relatives, their friends and even some loyal customers from our store who loved my mom and dad. After Aunt contacted the police, I talked to them and let them investigate the scene where the accident happened. We had a rendezvous in our house. I also hired a sleuth to investigate also. If only I can resuscitate my mom and dad so that my sadness will be gone, I will do it. After 2 days, the sleuth found a haft of a bomb near the tree where the car was found. Aunt Sue was very fastidious when she heard what the sleuth and policemen said. The sleuth also found out that the suspect was the partner of my parents in business. So we boycott their partner in business and we filed a case against him. At least, the death of my parents gained the justice they need.
